How do I know if I have a Colop or a Trodat Custom stamp?

Our colop Stamps have a BLUE body and an opaque cover. Colop is marked on the lower body of the stamp in black.

Our trodat stamps have a BLACK body and a black sliding cover. Trodat is marked on the upper body of the stamp in sliver.

Please see this reference picture which should help you if you have any doubt:

If you are unsure of your replacement ink pad - please remove the pad from your stamp and quote the number shown on the pad. (ie. 6/4911) and we will be able to confirm the size for you.

To remove your ink pad on our standard stamps:

  1. Push down the top of the stamp about 5mm to relase pressure on the stamp pad (lock the stamp in this position if applicable).
  2. Whilst maintaining this pressure push out the stamp pad from one side.
  3. Remove old pad and dispose - note orientation.
  4. Remove clear protective cover from new stamp pad.
  5. Push the new pad into the original stamp until it clicks into place.
  6. Push down the top to release from the locked position or unlock the stamp.
  7. Your stamp is ready to use again.
